However, I use them to anchor power cables and the associated yellow warning strips underground. (The power cables must be armoured if they are underground and at risk of being hit by a shovel). Being black, the pegs they don't show up against the earth and they are usually sturdy enough to penetrate even the hardest soil. With stones we have found that feeding them in by hand to "wriggle" into a smooth path is best, then hitting with a hammer usually ensures success. Should they hit a stone and bend they can usually be straightened and reused. All-in-all, a very good product at a good price.

Great pegs. Much sturdier than similar ones I bought before, and the pointy ends make them easy to push into the ground. These GardenPrime U-Shaped Ground Stakes are great for securing garden membranes, netting, and fabric. The 200-pack offers great value, and the metal pegs are sturdy enough for most jobs. They push into the ground easily and hold well, even in windy conditions. However, a few of them bent when pushed into tougher soil, so they may not be the strongest option for very hard ground. Overall, a good set of garden pegs that work well for most general gardening needs
