We plugged ours into the car for when we took the puppies to the vet **Q: Doesn’t feel very warm is this normal?** A: As this is regulated to body temperature, it will not feel warm to the touch due to the temperature of the hand being similar to that of the heat pad. When puppies are laid on it, it will maintain a comfy temperature for them that is close to that of their mother. **Q: Is this cat-claw-proof??** A: Its very well made and the plastic covers the heating cable in the mat. Only issue (which I didn't realise) is that there are no heat level controls. It's either on or off and the pad is quite warm when it's on (not that the moggies seem to mind!).
