**Q: How do you clean it?**
A: Press down on the button so the little needle pops out and clean it with soap and water.  I also submerge it in soapy hot water and the turn it upside down to drain/dry.

**Q: Can the yoke & white be blown out, decorate eggs?**
A: I haven't had any problems with the white or yoke being blown out. Just make sure that you get a clean puncture in the egg.

**Q: Can this be used as a replacement for Dash egg cooker piercer?**

**Q: If the piercer has something on it, it can push it into the egg. So, can it be disassembled for proper cleaning? Can it be placed in hot water?**
A: It has a needle on it - you push the egg onto it.  No, I wouldn't disassemble it, but you can use a dish cloth to wipe off the needle.  Yes, its washable but I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher.

This is a simple design but effective. It punctures a tiny little hole at the bottom of the egg. It's very easy to use. This helps when peeling the egg after hard boiling. Takes a second to wash up. My favourite feature is that it has a magnet attached so I cam put it on my fridge and it never gets lost!

ONLY PUNCH ONE HOLE. Twice and the egg will shatter. These work great though. As someone who likes to make deviled eggs and has done every method you can think of for shelling and still manages to destroy about a third of the eggs this thing is a life saver, perfect eggs peeled every time. Provided you don't press this bad boy into a shell twice before you cook them.

It appears to work just fine. I purchased because I was eating a lot of hard boiled eggs, now I’ve been on a sunny side up kick. I have fresh eggs and that little hole makes a prettier egg.
