Unfortunately if the varnish on your floor is exposing bare wood, this floor is no longer entirely sealed and therefore our cleaners would be unsuitable to use. I use the bona mop to do it and it does not leave a shine on the surface and the flooring appears the same only cleaner. It has no fragrance. I guess it could be applied with a cloth. Spray the floor surface and mop with the cloth. The mope head is really flexible to move around and the mop is detachable and washable. Hope this helps. **Q: How far does the 1L bottle go?
