I had not tried 85/15 before so I thought I’d give them a go. I’ve now had them on the guitar for a few weeks and they are still sounding good. They are definitely brighter sounding than phosphor bronze. Much closer to the sound of 80/20. Probably good for taming a big boomy dreadnought but I’d prefer something a little warmer sounding on a smaller bodied guitar. Mine are fitted to a jumbo & work well. I would probably buy them again for this guitar. They required minimal stretching to get the tuning stable. Despite some fairly heavy strumming they stayed in tune well & the guitar was still in tune the next day when I picked it up.
