We ended up buying rain ponchos in Cancun (after the fact) and paying $25 for each (times 3). I still have them but I can't use them because they weight a ton, each. I just got these ponchos and are longer from the ones I have and they're so light weight and compact that you can fit it in your jeans little pocket (maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit). I'm keeping one in my car, one in my wife's car, and one in my son's backpack and I got 7 more for tropical vacations and sport events. I cannot chance having the source of power (controller) short out because of water immersion or a heavy rainstorm. I carry one in each car and one in my "go bag" with extra batteries and controller. I had a downpour the other day while in the grocery store. I did not have to wait for the rain to let up, I just put on one my ponchos and it protected everything in my torso area. It was nice to have sleeves and a hood also.
