I recommend putting the bolt through then placing the washers and nuts on the opposite side of the plate you want to hit. This will minimize the damage to the washers and nuts. Spalling will take chunks out of the screw's threads and the washers/nuts making them almost unusable so keep that in mind. Just keeping everything on the opposite side of the one you're going to shoot at and it will last much longer. The chains and screws are NOT AR500 steel so keep that in mind.
