They are waterproof, which is a plus. They have tie-down straps and drawstrings for the legs of the furniture. However, because it is thin and light, on a windy day it flaps in the wind and often sets off my backyard camera's motion detection. No matter how tight you try to get it to fit the furniture, it still fits loosely causing it to ruffle in the wind. That is the reason for the 4 stars.
