Q: what is the distance between the pins I need to solder? What is the gap between the pins?

I don't have anything to accurately measure the gap between the pins but the gap is very close to the thickness of two pennies.

Q: Is there a pigtail available for this?

Any pre-tinned lead ( say 24 ga) will do. Don't over heat when soldering.
