I don't typically use a hair brush because most just break my hair and create a ton of frizz no matter how carefully I try to detangle my hair before brushing. I decided to try a boar bristle brush since I'd read they were gentle on your hair. I've only had it a day, and supposedly your hair improves over time with use, so we shall see what long term results are. But I took it immediately to my rats nest of tangles last night and it glided right through. It detangled gently without ripping, pulling and breaking my hair. The brush seems to be very good quality, and I could easily pull my shed hair out of the bristles without all of the bristles pulling out, too. I brushed again before bed and my hair was still pretty tangle free in the morning. A quick finger combing was all it needed to work out the few bits of bed head. I'm not really a fan of the wooden comb that accompanied the brush and probably will not use it. It’s great that it comes with the comb as well for detangling.Using a boars hair brush is different then an average brush because you need to brush your hair in smaller sections and so it does take longer, I would say that’s the only down side.
