This will leave residue. **Q: Can these be used on a stainless steel fridge with out leaving a mark when removed?** A: I presume you can. I haven't tried on stainless steel, but I don't see why not. However, it didn't stick more than a week or two. I had used it to stick a lightweight electric lamp cord.to a painted wall. The cord was already hanging vertically and I used the squares to keep it from dangling away from the wall.
