I personally use it for piloting and it works just fine. You turn the pen on by touching the top of the pen for 3 seconds and you can turn it of by tapping twice on the top, or it can turn off automatically after 5 minutes. A con for me personally is the fact that it will not turn on automatically upon contact with the screen like the original Apple pencil. This is because sometimes ATC might be talking to me on the radio but i need to wait 3 seconds (if it was off) before I can right down the instructions. You are not able to see the battery life of the pen on the tablet. However the pen has three lights which show how much battery life it has. The only way to charge it is by using a USB-C charging cable. It comes with e few replacements for the pencil tip. Seldomly the pen does not work for like .10 of a second and does that until it works normally again.
