Its about as bright as my OEM light and my bike is an XV1600. It IS a direct plug and play and took me all of 15 minutes to install. It can only go in one way so no risk of getting it upside down.Its decent for the money and Im using it over the OEM light as I like the look and ot is a little brighter.
