The wall on one side of my toilet has a door that slides into it, so it could not have a handicap rail installed. I got the raised toilet seat and saw this device that provides rails on both sides, requires no permanent installation, is adjustable and stabilized.The weight capacity was also comforting for a larger person. My grandson put it on in minutes. All the adjustable components allow you to customize the fit. Even after I remove the lifted seat I may leave this on as I have balance and dizziness issues. It would be great for seniors who may be weak or have tendencies to lose their balance or fall, not just post op patients. I feel safe using it with no one near and it is just what I needed.
