It was great while it lasted which was merely a few short months. It seemed good quality, nice features, and was very easy to use right out of the box. I will say baby slept upstairs near front of house, and monitor would cut out when downstairs in back of house. Same with the yard, kinda spotty. Unfortunately now this thing has basically stopped working because the monitor keeps shutting off! Tried to purchase again (for ease, since I did so much research the first time around and camera was still working, wanted to just buy the same one) and there's no way to buy just the monitor plus the product is now unavailable ... there's one (same? comparable?) listed for $150 for sale (yikes) yet Amazon suggests one for $260 (what?!). When I came back to the product page to repurchase, I saw other reviews reporting the same issue!! Wow for $100 you should have something that lasts through multiple children, not a couple months. The monitor seems to shut off when 1) On and 2) Plugged in. So, you have to charge it when not in use and then hope the battery lasts for the amount of time you need. Of course this is happening personally when baby is starting to pull up in the crib and AC is masking sound so it's hard to hear her without the monitor... just the time when you want to put to use your expensive baby monitor to hear and see baby... too bad. It has been such a headache and now I have to research again to find a monitor worth its price. I am not sure what the deal is. I kept noticing the monitor being turned off throughout the night and then I would have to turn it back on. It was plugged in since it was by my bedside, so I know it was fully charged. I had to do this 5 or 6 times. Then in the morning it was off again and would not turn back on. Still plugged in. I checked other plugs to make sure it wasn't the electrical in our house and nothing. It's a bit disappointing that this monitor seems to have a 4 to 6 month shelf life before it just stops working. When it works it's great...I just wish it worked for longer than 6 months since we still need it for both of our children....***update...4/10/18 customer service really stepped up on this issue. They responded to my review and offered to send a replacement which was great. I ended up already speaking with a rep through the Voxx customer service number and they sent a replacement and were really helpful and it was really easy.****This monitor was great and worked fine for the first six months and now the monitor just stopped working. It won’t even turn on. I have had it plugged in and nothing, there is no troubleshooting the issue. I have yet to reach out to the company since they are closed on weekends but apparently they have a warranty for a year so we will see if my rating changes after speaking with them.... ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Given a shower gift *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on February 28, 2019* After 2 months of use, the video is fading in and out, temperature is incorrect and the battery will not hold a charge. When I asked to refund or return the item, I was requested to send video, pictures, and so on. Unless you are able to stand by the moniter 24/7, it would not be easy to capture the problem. I tried to send the info and what pictures that could be taken to the company, but received an email stating due to attachments the email could not be forwarded. I never thought I would be one of those people to write a negative review.
