Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint 1 Ounce-Iridescent Bronze

I'm learning mixed media and this is a student size bottle of a lovely color that I can use as background and leaves in my assigned project.

Pay no attention to the comments from reviewers who clearly do not know much about metallic colors. This is most definitely a bronze color. It’s important to understand all the hues that go into the “true” bronze and that it is impossible to achieve with a single flat pigment. Bronze’s color is a combination of dull yellow hue , that oxidizes green/muddy brown, and it is commonly covered in dark stains when unpolished. As you can see from the picture of the paint on fabric, the paint is made up of green liquid base and golden pigment. You would never see green in actual gold paint with the exception of “aged” gold look because it would try to imitate low karat gold that oxidizes due to other metals present. Pure gold is absent of green hue. In the image I also show a swab of the paint on some bronze clasps to show how well it blends in. I gave it 4 stars because it is way too expensive for the tiny tube, but I’m still happy with the color.Note: The difference in density of this paint’s ingredients makes its sheen change based on how thick the layers are. Apply a thick layer for more golden look or thinner layer on top of muddy green base for truer bronze look. If using on fabric, it will be more “golden” than on solid objects. This is because the green base gets sucked into the fabric leaving the more dense golden pigment atop.

I don't write too many reviews, but after using this paint I felt I needed to.I am replacing an item of a set that is a family heirloom and I needed this exact shade of bronze paint. I ordered it and hoped for the best, thankfully I was very pleased! This paint is so high quality and luxurious. A little goes a very long way, you don't need much. Applied, it almost looks like gold leaf and dries to a soft, matte gloss finish. It's pricey, but worth it.

Absolutely beautiful paint. The shade is exactly like the swatch on the bottle and the paint isn't sheer at all. My only complaint is that a chemical reaction happens when you try to dilute it for airbrushing with any kind of chemical solvent. I had to dilute it with water, otherwise a neon blue liquid film would form over the paint and when wiped away, the gold pigment was gone and it was copper underneath (like a brand new penny). For $12/oz, having that sort of thing happen is a little disheartening.

This product is great and the color is vibrant. Easy to use. Easy clean-up.
