When I tried it set itself to 12.00 and then simply stopped. So, I took the battery out and tried again, same result. In fact, the same result on 5 attempts. It was then that I decided that it didn't work and so I requested and was granted a return. Then I decided to find another suitable clock to purchase and looked through almost the whole list, avoiding all Acctim products, of which there are a great many. I just happened to be looking at the listing for a run of the mill clock when I noticed the advice it gave; "Once the clock has set to 12.00 leave it for a few minutes whilst it establishes connection with the atomic clock. BINGO. I tried this on the Acctim and after a wait of a couple of minutes it showed me the correct time. As it was not an ugly clock I decided to cancel my return and keep the clock. It is now operating perfectly in my bedroom and I am perfectly happy with it.
