Devices like this are essential where the leakage is more or less constant as opposed to the occasional leak which can be adequately dealt with by the vast selection of pads on the market. The instructions are bewildering and don’t make much sense, but the device itself is fairly simple to work out with the wide Velcro waist strap and the two long straps with eyelets every few centimetres. These two straps are for fixing onto the buttons on the waist strap to help keep the device in place. Once strapped on it allows for fairly free movement unlike having a catheter fitted which had me struggling to move around. It is provided with a very long tube which would suit a bedbound person but the inclusion of another shorter tube for a leg wearer would have been useful. The tube can be shortened to a length more suitable but that would be permanent and make it less adaptable. Emptying the bag is simplicity itself with a push button valve that allows drainage. Care needs to be taken when moving around as dislodgement can easily happen. Overall, this is very good value at the discounted rate of Β£12.48 with the two sizes of bags but for a little extra I do think that it would have been worthwhile to include Velcro retaining straps for the tubing and bag. In addition, either a shorter length of tubing or a connector to join the cut length together.
