It's quite big but not enormous. Attaching it is a bit fiddly but not terribly so - just make sure you have access to the other side of the motherboard.Importantly, once it is in, it has no fan and it does a decent job cooling down a CPU. It works well with my i5-11600. I would not use it with something that emits a lot of heat, though.

Had to send back... does *not* allow a VGA card in the first slot of your PCIe slots - would probably allow a low profile wifi card but I couldn't be sure. Tried to install it on my Ryzen 5600x In an open case (thermal take P3).CPU temps were over 70C at idle and shot into the 90s when under some load.Severely throttled!Covid was in full swing and I had a delay returning it ( couldn't return home for some time)The Seller (Extreme Hardware) was beyond rude when a return was sent and refused to refund. He was disrespectful and made baseless accusations against me.I tried to work with him but eventually had to resort to filing an A-Z Claim.Stay away from this product and buyer at all costs!I'm going to wait for a different fanless solution for my rig and keep the stock cooler on it for now.

Effective and beautiful, but fixing kit is poor. Screws too short.

How weird is it to turn on a desktop PC and have no sound coming from it? Very. I am using this on a home built PC. I have underclocked the CPU slightly to keep the heat down. Based on the benchmarks I have run, it appears faster than some overclocked PC's using better CPU's than mine, so choice of components when building a silent PC is paramount.This cooler does the job on my i7-4790K. It's running well under 40C, usually around 35C, at 3.8Ghz. If I buy some very quiet fans, I might overclock it, but with a 9 second boot from cold, I don't really see the point. It is fast and silent and this cooler was central in that goal.

Experienced user here. The cooler is small enough to fit my case without the plastic retainer - about the same size as a full size PCI card (my case is 3U tall). Easy to install, however some of the spokes has less areas to stick to the body - I suppose due to the manufacturing process - and those came lose. Performance is varied, maybe due to the CPU. It managed to keep a G3258, TDP 53W very cool (below 75C at full load), while on the other hand a 2500t (TDP 45W) would go above 95C even after reinstalling it.

Love it, exactly as described, but much bigger than expected, please see attached picture on a full sized ATX motherboard, you need a large case to accommodate this.

Theorectically sound but dubious fitting techniques and overstating its compatability with mATX boards and DDR3 ram modules. The motherboard used was listed as being compatible with this cooler on the Nofan website.I agree with the other reviewers regarding the fitting. You have no way of telling if you have applied even pressure across the cpu/cooler interface. The screws lengths are barely adequate for an AMD board and the two of the retaining nuts for a mATX board and an AMD CPU are inaccessible even using Nofan's own chasis. Had to remove the board from the case to complete the fitting. Also be warned that this cooler is not compatible with standard Corsair Vengence RAM modules if used with a mATX motherboard,. The cooler 'squashes' against one of the ram chips forcing it to bend at an angle in its mounting.Probably would still work but this level of contact would mean heat being 'discharged' to one of the ram modules. Durch die konische Form ist der Zugang zum mainboard nicht wesentlich eingeschränkt. Man kann somit in den meisten Fällen nachträglich RAM einsetzen bzw. ausbauen, ohne den KÜhler entfernen zu müssen.Leider ist die Montage der Schwachpunkt. Die Kontermuttern werden durch einfache Plastikeinsätze arretiert. Was sich in der Theorie als einleuchtend zeigt, erweist sich in der Praxis als Designfehler. Die Plastikbolzen sind unterdimensioniert und brechen beim Kontern ab. Dann drehen die Schrauben durch und der Kühler lässt sich nicht mehr festschrauben.Jammerschade um eine gute Idee. Dafür kann es nur einen Stern geben, denn der Kühler ist dann unbenutzbar.

Je me suis fait une config PC quasi fanless : avec le boitier cooler master silencio 550M, dans mon PC j'ai seulement 2 ventilateur 800rpm à l'avant pour aspirer l'air frais et 1 à l'arrière 800rpm pour expulser l'air chaud.( carte graphique fanless et aucun autre ventilateur nul part)Le radiateur est annoncé pour un TDP max de 80W.Du coup un AMD à 65W de TDP ou un intel idem peuvent convenir largement.Je ne recommanderais pas pour quelqu'un qui est un hardcore gamer, mais pour un joueur occasionnel et pour la bureautique, c'est la solution de refroidissement idéal.Le radiateur est assez gros donc ça me bloque un slot de RAM avec ailette de refroidissement. Vous pouvez l'utiliser si vous acheter de la mémoire vive LOW profile, comme celle-ci par exemple : Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX Mémoire RAM DDR3 1600 8 Go KVR CL9 HyperX Kit2 XMPFournis avec de la pâte thermique, donc no soucis ! Facile à monter quelque soit le socket.
