At first I thought that it wasn't that great, but I realized I was over powering the .035 wire, running the welder too hot and fast for that wire. Once I turned it down some it welded really nice. The Parker gun seems to be really good quality, I'd like to try one of their higher models. The ground lead is a bit short, I'll be upgrading it down the road. My biggest complaint though is that the digital readout only reads out while welding, so you have to be welding to know the actual voltage or amperage you are welding at. But for the current price it is a good buy and I think I'll enjoy it for a while. It is located in the upper right corner looking above the wire feeder. nothing in the manual.** A: I asked my husband and he doesn't know what that is either. He has been using various welders for over 20 years and he can't think of what it would be used for. And there's nothing in the manual, like you said.
