Not only is it beautiful to look at and feel, but it’s designed for ease of use — eg, it has a lay-flat spine and large, clear pages. With so many different alphabet styles on display, there’s a ton to learn just in basic lettering. But there are great design ideas too, including banners, borders, leaves, flowers, and flourishing, each with step-by-step instructions, so even if your artwork doesn’t look as good as the authors’ (and most won’t), you have a clear understanding of what to try and what to practice. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to keep practicing their lettering, has little experience with chalk, and/or who has more to learn.
