My solar panel puts out 12-21 volts. Will 21v damage the element?** A: The heater is actually two twelve volt elements connected in parallel by factory jumpers. Much of the time, this load would pull down a 300 watt panel to very low voltage resulting in poor heating. You will probably find the higher voltage and lower amps of putting the elements in series (change the factory jumpers) across your panel yields better results (heating) and solves the possibility of damaging the elements. The heater then becomes 24 V and 300 W. **Q: What is the resistance of the element aka how many ohms is it** A: The element which is made of sus304 has 0.48 ohms.
