It did the job very nicely. First, I double-sealed one end of a bag that I had cut from the included quart-sized roll. Then added the already frozen sausage and proceeded to vacuum and seal the top end of the bag. I always double seal each end since it is so easy to do. The built-in roll holder and bag cutter is very convenient.Overall I'm very happy so far with this vacuum sealer. I bought one many years ago for about 3.5 times the price of this one and quit using it because the bags were so expensive and the sealer just didn't work that well. This one has been very simple to operate. Just make sure that you press down on both ends once the bag is positioned. You'll hear a loud click on each end when it's locked in place. After that, just hit the vacuum/seal button and let it do its job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars So far it's a keeper *by C***D on Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2023* It just came today but we had a good bit of stuff waiting to put it to the test. We've been using FoodSaver vacs for about 20 years, 3 of them to be exact, but I digress this is a HODAY review. There is a bit of a learning curve for a 20 year FoodSaver user but I caught on quickly and put it through the paces once I got the hang of it. We like the smaller footprint compared to our last food vac at about 1/2 the size. The internal bag storage is nice and the cutter works well but takes some getting used to compared what we're accustomed to. It does a good job sealing and our stock of FoodSaver bags work better with this unit than they did with their namesake's. The price was right plus we took advantage of a $10 off coupon offer. There's a 10 year warranty which is unheard of these days with planned obsolescence already built in to everything. Plus there's none of the disclaimers and requirements to keep the all original packaging and receipt witnessed by 3 different magistrates in at least 4 jurisdictions. After reading the instructions, it is fairly easy to use. You cut the bag to your desired size, seal one end, put whatever item you have inside, and vacuum & seal the other end. Simple. The unit has a nice look to it as it matches my stainless steal appliances. For my first machine, this is a great product.WHAT I DON’T LIKE:▪️The machine does not suck out all the air and on most occasions, I wished it would remove more air.▪️Inconsistent on its ability to remove air from the bag.
