Took me a bit to work out its connections and how to use it first, but I have taken some pictures to help others with how it attached to my UK kitchen sink. I removed the screw off aerator on the end of my tap, then needed to remove the thicker of the 2 rubber internal seals on the universal adapter, this left it a perfect tight fit on my tap with no leaks. I did find that I needed my water to flow pretty fast to create the initial vacuum but once establish I had around 25% water removed in a very short period of time. Not sure yet how to test my water temp with out it flowing back in once the attachment to turned on fill selection but thankfully I've filled buckets enough times now to have a good guess at where my levers are normally positioned. Just needed to add my Prime direct to the tank. After ordering I did find cheaper alternatives and was a bit annoyed but honestly I do not regret having ordered this one as it truly is of very good quality and will last a long time. I have a little bit of mildew growing in it.** A: I take the vacuum end out of the aquarium and hold it up above the height of the faucet and let the water running through the pump to suck the water out of the tube. I do the same thing to clear the tube after refilling the tank. There may still be a little moisture in the tube but it has not been any problem. **Q: Im going to ask the dumb question: when refilling how are you de-chlorinating the tap water to avoid exposing the fish... just put it in before hand?** A: Not a dumb question. Add you dechlorinator to the tank before you refill your aquarium treat the whole system; for example if you have a 60 gallon aquarium dose it for all 60 gallons. **Q: I may need just a little longer than 25' can I add to this unit??** A: The system is put together with PVC tubing and compression fittings. You can go to your local hardware store and purchase tubing of any length you may need - I believe it is 1/2 OD, but safest to bring it with you so the clerk can match up the size (they can also show you how compression fittings work if you don't know). If your concern is loss of suction, no worries...I currently run 60 feet with no noticeable difference. **Q: I have a 9 gallon BiOrb Flow tank and need to vacuum the debris and excess food off bottom. Is Python right product?** A: No, this would be terrible for such a small tank. Far too easy to just suck out all of your water or crush your fish on a refill. I was actually amazed at how good this thing is. I've only used it once so far but it makes changing the water so easy that I was actually standing there at the end scratching my head wondering "Is that it ?" To make this thing work, they say you have to connect it to your faucet and turn the cold water on at full power to generate the suction for taking the water from the aquarium but I just can't bring myself to waste that much water. I tried using the cold tap to get the suction going and then turning the tap off but the suction just died away, so that didn't work. So what I did was, ran the hose form the aquarium, down my hallway, through the kitchen and out the back door and pointed it down a drain. Then I started the gravel cleaner normally and the water just flowed out of the aquarium, down the hose and down the back drain. When I wanted to refill the aquarium, I just connected the hose to my faucet, ran the water to get the right temperature (using a digital thermometer), and refilled the tank. I think the fish loved it as there were no buckets of water getting dumped on top of them. I also just added the chemicals to the tank as it started to refill. Job done. I'll never go back to using buckets and this is one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon.
