Do they kill thrips? Can they be used in conjunction with a neem solution?** A: I found this was the only thing that would get rid of quite a bad thrip infestation my monstera had, neem oil wasn't working for me because some of the thrips has burrowed inside the leaves. But yes you can definitely use neem along side this **Q: Can I use these with another fertilizer? As I see it releases fertilizer as well** A: yes but it is with fertilizer incl., not to much of fertilizer is important **Q: Can these still be delivered to the uk post brexit? will i have to pay any extra charges? thanks 😊** A: I didn’t pay anything extra when I ordered mine… **Q: Can i stick it into lechuza pon/ leca?** A: Yes I have done that with my lechuza and it seemed to have worked OK. I think as long as there is moisture around the stick that will eventually reach the plant they should work. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product *by S***L on 1 June 2022* I purchased this product after I spotted the early signs of thrips on my plants.I've had thrips before and it was an absolute nightmare to control - but this product has *touch wood* worked wonders.After reading the reviews I bought this with the plan of using it as a second-line defence against the eggs and nymph stages of the thrips which you can't see, in conjunction with a spray on topical insecticide.First I sprayed down the affected plants to try and knock off any adults, taking care to get the undersides. I then used a topical insecticide (bug off ultra), and then inserted 1-2 sticks at a 45 degree angle into the soil to ensure they were in the root system. I used a pencil (marked with the ideal depth) to push them into the soil.I did this back in february and so far there is no sign of thrips returning and the added fertilizer in the sticks has also resulted in lots of new growth - Happy days! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It’s a short term fix *by G***A on 6 July 2023* I used to get plant pins and they were amazing. These are a compromise. They work ok for a week or two. Over £30 including postage is outrageous. I was desperate. Two weeks later the gnats are back. Tried Mosquito Bits and so far promising. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ TO BE USED ALONGSIDE COMMON SENSE *by H***A on 22 August 2021* I've seen a lot of reviews about how this "miracle cure" hasn't helped with their pest infestation. This means of pesticide is simply one attack method is the multitude that you must take to eradicate a pest from your plant. There are no miracle cures.The simplest approach to any pest issue is to shower your plant, (no matter what the pest) thoroughly washing the tops and bottoms of all leaves, washing away any easy to reach pests.Then using a suggested mixture of:1litre water5ml Neem Oil10ml Castille Soap(additionally 3/4 drops peppermint oil can be added as it works as a deterrent for pests)Shake up in a spray bottle and spray the whole plant (in a bath or shower as you want to saturate the plant). Leave for a minute or two, then gently wipe the plant dry with a soft cloth or tissue. Make sure to cover all the nooks and crannies possible. The neem oil coats the bugs and suffocates them, the castille soap works to break down the neem oil so it's sprayable. (Repeat this process once a week or as you see more pests appearing.)Once you've cleaned your whole plant and thoroughly wiped it down, then apply the sticks. The sticks act as an additional defence for the plant to poison the pests from the inside, but the plant will still need your help to rid itself of pests.There is no miracle cure for pests, just a multitude of small steps that attack the bugs from all angles of their breeding cycles. This is my method, but there are many.
