This face planter is with a large and round drainage hole that can reduce the risk of a blocked drainage system. **Q: Could either size vase be used as a kitchen utensil holder? Tall/wide enough?** A: Mine is significantly shorter than my utensil holder. So I don’t think so. **Q: Can this be used for vanda orchid ?** A: I don’t see why not. They do have drainage holes, but I know nothing about orchids.. These pots are adorable, I have African violets in mine. Doing very well (first time ever growing them too). What’s the internal planter diameter?** A: This pot plus one other I bought (different color mix) measured 5” diameter inside (so 1/4” wall thickness) and 5” deep. The outer diameter at the bottom of the pots is 3 1/2”.
