Review: Quality tarp. - I'm impressed with the weight and quality. I have used the DD 3.5 tarp for years as I like to pitch a forester tent environment permitting. It's been a faithful piece of kit and still in good order but it's large and heavy. But I'm not getting any younger or fitter so decided to lighten up my load out. Obviously I was expecting this tarp to be superlight, but when it arrived I was still pleasantly surprised at the noticeable weight difference and compactness. Only thing worth mentioning is when you first unpack it, it's stuck together for some reason. I guess it must be the coatings and packing process. It's a little disconcerting unpacking for the first time as you think you are going to rip it. Just take you time. I'm looking forward to getting out and testing it, and deciding what other goodies to pack now I've got some extra space. Highly recommended.

Great lightweight tarp from DD. Yes when new it’s a bit stuck together, but once used a couple of time that soon vanishes. Keeps me dry whilst camping and holds up well to moorland wind, no damage yet after around 10 uses as shelter for, hammock and tents. Yes there’s lighter options but I feel this is a good compromise between weight and durability
