Review: BEKO WMA657W fixed - I used the machine's original plastic parts, but the supplied ones seem fine enough (not used though). The metal sheathed carbon brushes seem of high quality and work exactly as they should. Unclear in the item image (at time of purchase) is that the tips of the brushes are machined to fit the motor's armature/rotor properly. Fitting was easy enough. Extremely high pitched whine on the first spin while the brushes seated themselves, but soon returned to normal. Immediately bought another pair so I'm ready to fix it again in however many years they take to wear down ;) UPDATE, January 27 2025: upon investigating some new noises emanating from my washing machine, I discovered that these brushes I installed all those years ago are still full of life and barely worn at all! At the rate they're wearing, they'll probably outlast me. I didn't find out what the new noises were though, so some other parts may pack in at any minute. Hopefully Paxanpax will sell replacements for those too ;)
