The fit of this cover IS very nice. The surface, too, is nice. But, I would have GLADLY paid another $5 for more padding...any padding really. This cover has virtually NO padding whatsoever. I can see the diamond grid marks of my ironing board through EVERYTHING that I have yet tried to iron, even cotton shirts. And, to iron anything even remotely related to satin, I need to put about 3 layers of padding on top of the board (making the surface of the cover....uh....useless). I really feel that I would get better results going the "college route" and ironing items on my bed. Now I have to find a non-standard pad to go under this cover.
