All the other products where of the same quality - foam insole with some gel capsule embedded in the heel or in the middle arch. This was the only one that was properly made of leather and of a high quality hard memory foam which appears will last thru heavy use and time. Most of all, I feel zero pain with this insole compared to all the others I tried. Lastly, it is so thin (compared to others which will decrease the space for your foot in the shoes due to their thickness) - that you can pull out the existing insole and replace it with this one without having to worry about taking up feet space and buying one size up in the shoe. Especially helpful for wearing fancy dress shoes wearing with suits, when there is not much spare space for insoles. You can see the raised part on photo. The remaining part of the insole is only about 2-3mm thick. It maybe that when new they're a little bit thicker but I've had mine a couple of years so they've possibly squashed down a bit. They are good quality and work like a dream. **Q: I have recently had issues running and told by ortho I have an issue right foot metatarsal heads on toes 2,3 and 4. Will this insole work?** A: The insole has helped me to walk more comfortably but has not cured the soreness on my metatarsal head. Even so I am considering getting another pair of insoles so that I don't have to keep changing them into different shoes. **Q: Size 41 states that they are for men. Would they still fit a ladies size 41 shoe?** A: Yes if they are wide shoes or boots. I don't think they would fit inside a slim court shoe. **Q: Can they be cut to fit** A: Hi. Mine fitted perfectly after removing the original insole. Cutting could damage the shape and because these insoles have metatarsal support, the support might not be in the correct position. Better to try to get the correct size insole. The product is well made and of good materials but turned up a little late due to the international posting (which I wish I had checked beforehand). When I tried the insole, I can honestly say they helped me with the pain from my Morton's Neuroma...but only because the insole was so uncomfortable that it took my mind of the MN altogether and gave me something else to moan about! Wore the insole for one day and couldn't take it any more.
