They are not like the fleece welly warmers you see for sale with a named brand on them. These are socks. They have a knitted heal in them which makes them really comfortable better than tube socks. I wear Le Chameau Ladies Vierzonord which is a really fitted wellie, I needed a sock that I could tuck my jeans into. I wear 2 pairs of socks. Thin ones that move with my feet and a pair of these socks that move with the wellies, this stops my heal rubbing and causing me blisters. The socks are tight enough around my foot but loses enough to tuck my jeans into. They come right to the top of my wellies that I can pull them over to give that wellie look and they are really warm too. Would these be long enough to "slouch" down to calf and wear loose and slouchy...thank you** A: I bought them as present for friend. She says they could come well up your leg if you had slim enough legs. In her case, and probably mine as we both have chunkier calves - no knee length boots for us, they keep her lower leg & ankles cosy, like leg warmers but tighter. Lovely & thick as well.
