Is there something we're doing wrong? Otherwise, we really love this thing!** A: You get the flame thrower function for free. It's caused from pumping the fluid through the piping faster then the unit is able to burn it off. Only go a max 4 pumps to start and then one pump about ever 5 seconds. I use mine two to three time a week and love this fogger. I have to admit sometime I will get a good flame going to light the outdoor fire pit. It's not just functional but a fun little unit. On a serious note. When you get a flame, and you will, wave it back and forth until the flame goes out or you just have a small flame at the tip that you an blow out with a small buff. Do not let it flame for long. If the flame is caused by way to much fluid you will ruin your fogger. The coils are red for a reason. Heat = breakdown. **Q: Anyone from North east use this? Or just for southern swampy areas?** A: We do not live in NorthEast but in the South and it works great. I would think it would work in North East just great! Mosquitoes are mosquitoes. **Q: Can I use water + insecticide in this fogger?** A: I tried that but the water creates steam and then condensates on the tip and drips quite frequently other that that yes you can... **Q: Do you need a face mask or other protective device when using this device?** A: Make sure you wear a respirator for safety.
