They seemed to work well and are rather squishy. Probably have enough to rebuild 2 cards with this pack. **Q: How do these compare to gelid?** A: Which Gelid are you comparing to? They are not a comparable product due to the thermal rating of 6 W/mk. 20 is best you can get. These are passable for some projects, but just about anything with a higher rating [and undoubtedly higher price] is going to do a better job of transferring the heat. It's not fair to compare them to Gelid. Or Kritical. Or XPC, Aairhut and others. **Q: Would it make sense to use these pads under an external aluminum ssd enclosure such as acasis 10-in-1 hub?** A: I am not that familiar with that device but looking at the pictures on their web site it looks like the pards could work if there you have a small gap to fill. The pad seems to conduct heat well. I would not expect an SSD to create a lot of heat unless you work it hard. There are utilities to get the drives temperature. You can use them to see how effective the pad is.
