I made a big indent in my knife blade next to the handle by not moving it quickly enough and putting too much pressure. It sharpens the blades quickly and gets them very sharp. I test the sharpness by One very light cut on a tomatoe to cut the skin. I also cuts into the edge of a sheet paper all of the knives I sharpened passed the test. I only used it about every 4 months - when it takes more than one cut on the tomato skin. I highly recommend this sharpener and would buy again.

I have some kitchen knives 2 steel and 3 ceramic from costco. The ceramics are 10+ years old, This sharpener fixed them all up, slicing vegetables has never been easier, I have a stone sharpener system for pocket knives, but it was a pain to try to use it on big kitchen knives.
