If you did, did it work out or did they leak? How long did they last?** A: I wore them my first time with white shorts. Brave yes. But they worked fine. It was my first day which is a light-medium flow. My second day of period which is the heaviest, I experienced light staining in the crease of my leg on my shorts when I wore them during this VERY heavy flow day while doing a vigorous workout. They work as intended. Not to be worn with a pad or tampon. If you can’t sit with your menstruation that long then I could understand use of a pad to be able to discard some menstruation. **Q: If you leak in these does it get absorbed or does it sit on top of the fabric? Or make a mess?** A: I think it would get somewhat absorbed. But these are definitely not on par with the "period underwear" you're meant to just free bleed into, if that makes sense. **Q: Are they noisy? I have a different brand and the waterproof liner makes a crunchy sound when I walk. I'm looking for something quieter.** A: "...depends on the clothing" should not be a consideration. They either do or do not make sound while wearing and walking around. I wouldn't exactly categorize as crunchy, but I just purchased these underwear and the waterproof liner DOES make a sound while walking around, which makes me feel self conscious about wearing these period panties. Perhaps that sound goes away after washing? All the answers here are over 2 years old, so perhaps they changed the waterproof material? **Q: If worn with pads, does this protect longer than the area a pad would?** A: Yes. My daughter is very pleased with these, so she ordered a second package. Very good product that protects well with a pad. Also comfortable for sensitive skin. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They work!!! *by H***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 March 2018* (Usually a size 10 - 12 UK in underwear and went for the 12 which fit perfectly).After reading previous reviews I feel like I should specify that these pants are not at all sexy (to give you an idea I call them my grandad pants and they have a plastic-y layer in the crotch which rustles a little) they do however do what they are designed to!!! They are designed for use with a tampon or pad in order to protect from leaks, but you could free bleed into them with very light bleeding/ spotting without leaks if you wanted to. If you want discrete underwear you can use without any other sanitary products I would buy Thinx. However, considering the price difference these are still great value - I have 6 pairs of these for less than the price of one pair of Thinx. To make sure they continue to work properly I wash them on the handwash cycle of my machine with Caring Panda detergent and hang dry (do not use any heat on them including hanging them on the radiator as this will ruin the plastic layer). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simply put, these are brilliant! *by K***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 March 2017* Like other reviewers who have purchased this underwear, I suffer extremely heavy periods.
