Can you help?** A: There is a button that says EQ , if you do not engage the EQ your in bypass mode and there will be no Equalization . So press that button , but turn the volume to a lower level , because when the the EQ is engaged the volume will bump up . And also make sure your connections are correct, stereo out to EQ in . If your not sure if your hook up is correct refer to you Stereo owners manual. **Q: I realize that this unit does not have a spectrum analyzer, but where are the dual vu meters that are listed three times in the description?** A: It has no VU meters. **Q: How does the spectrum analyzer work** A: It's fake- it doesn't represent anything other than the overall level with a completely made-up representation of frequencies. **Q: i have a sherwood receiver and yamaha speakers for outside deck,would this eq work for this?** A: Depends upon the inputs and outputs for your receiver.
