I have not tested the video output capabilities, I have doubts on the "8k" marketing since 8k displays are extremely rare still and not common, but if I ever do come across an 8k display I'll see if it works, for 4k it seems to do an alright job, can't notice any artifacts or signalling interruptions. Its rugged, compact, gonna help me a ton, will it last though? Well from what I see so far I think it will, but ultimately it also depends on how good you take care of your cables, I'll update this a year from now if its still being sold.
