**Q: Are they safe to store in a vehicle in the hot summer days**
A: I wondered that too. But they have been safe in a black truck in Alabama.

**Q: Is there a shelf life on these?**
A: You know what I work for Metro Freeway Service Patrol, we carry 15 minute flares in our tow trucks, one time I was on scene of Fatality on the 10 freeway and the tow trucks flares looked in no good condition and very old with of course water damage, but they still lid up and stayed on so I would say 10 plus years if kept clean and mint condition.

**Q: Is the packaging water resistant and are they in a re-sealable pouch?**
A: Not sure if the outer back is waterproof, but the flares do come in a resealable plastic bag.

**Q: Do these have a spike/nail end to put in the ground?**
A: No, they just lay on the ground
