I never write directly on these things even when product claims it is that it is safe to do so (I use masking tape). The material is thick and appears to be well made and durable. I do think that this is worth it, but before purchasing, I would really consider if you would ok with that cute bird logo. I thought it was adorable which prompted me to purchase, but it looks bigger in person and says "KeaBabies" (I hadn't considered this) which limits my "abilities" to repurpose since I have OCPD so I ended up returning due to personal preference.
