They are more like very lightweight soft matte lipsticks, and they WILL transfer. They are not the most emollient lip products, but they also are not as drying as traditional liquid lipsticks. The fragrance and lightweight texture remind me a lot of the (discontinued) YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain.
