Heavier and faster, the Churchill tanks were modified several times before reaching their full potential. The MK IV version saw the largest product run of over 1600 tanks built. Deployed to North Africa, the Churchill was able to provide ample support to push on the retreating Afrika Korps escaping through the mountains to Tunisia and posed no problem for these tanks.
