I purchased these clippers about 8 months ago, and have used them regularly since so this review is after a fair test period.My 3 criteria for a successful purchase of nail clippers were: (1) Do they do the job well; (2) Are they well made; and (3) Do they look good. On all 3 counts this great product from Clyppi passed with flying colours.(1) The blades are sharp and a reasonable size, the clipping action is smooth and the overall size is good, big enough to be easy to use and small enough to be packed into a washbag. I cannot quite figure out why people (men at least) need different size clippers for fingers and toes, I certainly don't, these clippers are more than upto both jobs. There is a small file, which is a little too small, but the blades are so sharp that I have only needed to use the file on a couple of occasions.(2) After 8 months of use the clippers have stood up well, there is a small amount of scratching on the stainless steel body, but its very small and to be expected where the 'arm' rotates to move into the clipping position. The clippers have been very well made and are a good weight, I'm sure these will continue to serve me well for years to come. They show no sign of the blades becoming blunt, and are working as well as on day one. These aren't the cheapest on the market, but you get what you pay for and these clippers are worth paying a little extra for.(3) The aesthetic of the clippers is great, and the usability perfect for me. Its clear plenty of care and attention has gone into design in terms of form and function. The material (stainless steel), size and general design really work for me, I can't say enough good things about the design. The only thing that lets the product down from a design point of view is the packaging, which is a very pedestrian plastic box. The plastic box lets this great product down when you receive it, though when the box is in the bin you forgive it pretty quickly! With a better package this would make a great gift and its just a shame that the same care the designer put into the clippers wasn't put into the packaging..Would I recommend it - Yes, definitelyPros - * Looks great * Sharp blades * Very well manufacturedCons - * Boring plastic boxValue for money - 10/10

Have you ever had nail clippers and your thumb slipped off and you really hurt yourself? Even if you didn't - I did!!Ever since then I am extra careful when using nail clippers and make sure the lever is big enough for my finger not to slip off. These are just downright perfect as they are shaped in such a way that I feel safe using them and don't have to worry at all about my finger slipping.And certainly for the best as they Clyppi clippers are sharp! And they have to be obviously with being made for toe nails which are thick and hard and usually need quite a bit of pressure to be cut through - but again not with these clippers!These feel really well in hand and are made of quality stainless steel and feel like they are built to last.Exactly what I needed. Now I shall be off and get the Clyppi finger nail clippers as well :)I received this item at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

After reading the reviews I had high hopes for these. They look well finished and they are comfortable to hold and use but the pair I have received seems to have tiny imperfections on the cutting blades. On several of the cuts the clipped part of the nail was still hanging on by a tiny fragment that the blade had not clipped through completely. If you squeeze them together and look at the light through the blades you can see the parts that are not meeting properly.It's a shame because the blades look and seem very sharp otherwise. I am going to return them as I don't think for the price I paid they are worth it. I wanted to buy a quality pair of clippers but I do not feel that the cutting performance is any better than a cheap pair, in my opinion.

1. Product quality is very good.2. The jaws are well honed and extremely sharp.3. The jaws are about 2.5mm (maybe a bit more) wide.I have a very thick "problem" toenail and whether the jaws are wide enough remains to be seen (I have just visited the podiatrist and they cut it with some snips). I was looking at the KlipPro that is said to have 4mm jaws, but it's only available in the USA and those that promise to send to the UK want a large overhead for doing so. So I chose the Clyppi as it was, at a minimum, clearly of the same quality and in the hope it had wide enough jaws. But I'm very happy with the Clyppi as it will clearly be useful even if I can use it only to "nibble" away at this nail.

Good clipper for both toe and finger nails.Not too big but long enough to make clipping easy.The gap between the jaws is just about wide enough to accommodate the big toe nail.The seller wisely advised clipping toe nails in two operations,from each side to the middle of the nail;this can be done to form a slight "V"at the centre of the nail to perhaps alleviate the problem of ingrown toenails. There is a small area for filing the nail on the handle.All-in-all a good quality if quite expensive product.

Left a review but have since realised it was unfair as this is a TOE nail clipper not a finger nail clipper.I wanted a finger nail clipper(Can't reach toes anyway) and I used it for fingernails hence my former comment.IT is probably excellent for toes which need a strong, firm clipper and it looks strong and well-made.Don't know how to delete former feedback(why does Amazon make things so difficult- why not have a simple delete/ edit button?).Dispatch was fast.

It is a very robust clipper that could cut my thick toe nails effortlessly. However, it is fairly difficult to gain a good grip of the clipper as there is barely any friction (where you place your thumb to press) (Slippery for dry skin and sweaty hand users)Would recommend for people who has very thick nails.
