They're lovely pens to colour with, and a nice selection of pretty colours. A nice change to the usual bright coloured felt pens. A few colours are maybe slightly brighter on paper than my idea of pastel but still lovely. They glide smoothly across the paper without much effort, though some shades are so pale that you almost feel like you should press down harder as you colour but there's really no need. Coverage is good but you can still see some lines in the blocks of colour, however these are kids felt tips, not artist ones so it's not a big deal. My ten year old daughter loves them. I've always found crayola pens good value in terms of how well they work and how long they last. There are cheaper alternatives available but I find crayola to be the better quality ones amongst kids felt pens, and since my daughter is big into drawing, colouring and art I'll stick with crayola.
