Does exactly what it says and sold at a great price.
Bought this to wind up a stag do organiser (based on the location he booked for us) and it does what it claims but VERY hard to draw water through. Not sure I'd care in an emergency though! Nice full kit supplied so use the bottle to force water through the straw. Quite amusing when passers by see you drinking from a puddle...Seller should put a little carry case in the box as would help keep it more compact with the necessary bits and then it would be a 5 star product.

Only useful for small volumes of water
I took this wild camping as my primary source of water was from streams. The filtered water tasted fine and I had no issues with the quality so that was good but it requires too much pressure to effectively filter everything you need for a full day. The supplied water bag sprung a small leak very quickly due to the force required making it difficult to continue filtering without contaminating the filtered water. At best, I could filter a litre of water every 25-30 minutes. Not great when I need 4 or 5 litres a day. I would recommend looking elsewhere for something that isn’t intended for emergency use.

Quick and convenient filtering water
This item is very handy when somebody likes climbing, walking in mountains or other places where it’s hard to find shop to buy some water. By using this device you can have clean water in no time from any source.Definitely like it, it’s handy and it has several ways to drink water either directly from source or from water pouch which is added.Few filters added, a tube and part for exchange. Assembly is easy and user manual very straightforward. Highly recommended.

Very tough to suck water through, but I suppose it works.
While I assume it works, man is it hard to suck the water through!I of course got curious and tried other drinks... beer, coke etc.. making sure to THOROUGHLY clean between and it after use. It's good, filters like crazy and I'm sure in a survival situation it could stop you getting sick. However we're talking end of the world survival situations. I don't invision ever needing this unless lets say I absolutely cannot fit a water bottle on my bergan/daysack and I know I'll be near a stream (effectively making the world my waterbottle), but it's interesting to see in action.

Lightweight and good for the use. Served us well on holiday. Think I’ll get a pump style in future though

Image is a bit misleading & It leaks unfiltered water
It works but if you're wanting a purifier that will filter a lot of water to use on a regular basis or cook with, then this isn't for you. It is only really good for survival situations or an odd drink hear and there by sucking from the mouthpiece (Even that is very hard to do). I say this because you need to apply a considerable amount of pressure to the pouch just to get a few drops to come out, the main image is either misleading or the guy has some serious strength to get it to pour out like that so easily with just one hand.I would have given it 3 stars for the fact that it does filter water at least, but the one I have lets unfiltered water leak out from between the black ring and the blue casing whenever you apply pressure to the pouch, this wouldn't be much of a issue if it didn't trickle down the casing and into the filtered water that is slowly dripping out from the mouthpiece. You kinda have to do a balancing act to get the filtered water to drip into a container while trying to get the unfiltered water to drip halfway along the casing instead of into your container.

Great little device if you like hiking.
Kids have been using this in the house for filtering the tap water. Today we have been out in snowdonia with this. Tested it by getting some water from the river there and ... yes i drank it. It seemed fine, tasted just normal.Cool little device this. Ill play around with it on future walks, but right now it seems great.

the effort required to suck it through is almost more than the end result ...
Probably should have read the other reviews before committing to purchase. Took this for a couple of (very hot) days in The Lakes. As stated, the picture is highly misleading as there's no way you can decant water into another receptacle as shown (so you couldn't for example use the filtered water for cooking). Whilst it does provide filtered water, the effort required to suck it through is almost more than the end result is worth. Perhaps more frustratingly the flow didn't even seem consistent, so some large draws provided little and others almost got to a mouthful (after which I was more out of breath than when I started). Another gripe is that water gets trapped in the filter and subsequently leaks out, I'm not sure if this is clean or dirty. In short, this would probably save your life, but if you can spare a few extra quid buy something better as it's far from a pleasure to use. Feels an bit cheap all round when compared to 'properly' branded alternatives.
