I have owned loads of these 5m or 8m tape measures but this is by far the best. It is very big and seems really sturdy and the measurements are clear & easy to read. The extend mechanism is really smooth and it locks in place tightly. So far it is well worth the money.I say so far because it has those 3 dreaded words on it - "Made In China"!! Whenever I see those words, my heart sinks, because they invariably mean that the product will fall apart after a few weeks and end up in landfill.
