Review: Wonderful activity for my mother with dementia and hearing loss - The Keeping Busy Tile Matching Game far exceeds my expectations for quality of the tiles, the color sheets, the box they fit in, and even the outer packaging. My mother reads everything I give her, and the clear, gentle description on the box cover doesn't mention dementia and so doesn't cause her any stress or confusion. At first she couldn't understand that sometimes a piece needs to be flipped over to fit into the space, but I was pleased to find that when we played at my next visit two weeks later she had learned to do that. We only used the fully colored sheets the first several times, but then I began giving her the ones with white spaces, and soon she was able to figure those out as well. I sit with her and offer a thumbs-up when she fits a piece in properly, or quietly take one out again if she has gotten stuck. It's great to see her smile and be amazed at herself when she completes a tray. That is worth almost any price. My only complaint, as others have probably said, is that the navy blue color is too close to black, and the two greens are not different enough in hue. But we have learned to deal with that, since the tiles are thick and weighty, and the laminated sheets fit nicely into the box frame. Thank you for this excellent product.
