You can actually get these on EBAY for £8.00, but they aren't even worth that, there is also absolutely no support at the back of the heal as it's just the flimsy material at the foot around your ankle. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. **Q: Is the sole underneath rubber or plastic, can it grip when going tracking near rocky places?** A: I would not recommend for rocky places. Due to the nature of the footwear. But for everyday use, work in retail,hospital ect. They are fab **Q: Can these be washed?** A: I've washed mine before with no problems. I also use them as driving shoes, say if I am going to wear boots but don't like driving in thick wellies. Lightweight, easy to put into a backpack. Very flexible, like wearing no shoes, so great for the bones of the feet to flex. Feel well cushioned too. The strap to fasten them is generous for many types of arches, high or low. The fastening stays put. I did purchase white (for sunny dry days) and found too that I could scrub them to get them clean again.
