I mean we use this every day and all I can say is it is fantastic to use. Especially with steaks. The high heat setting lock in the juice and flavour of the meat. I use it for everything from steaks to bacon sandwiches and burgers. I fully recommend this item. It is hard working and will not let you down. Just be prepared to give it a litlle love after cooking. What I mean by this is clean it properly. I do this with a proper burger van scraper at first to take all the lumpy stuck bits and then I apply a little oil again and rub it with a sponge. after I will wet the sponge with soapy water and wipe until clean. Then just wipe down with some scot (paper) towels. Yes the cooking surface will discolour a bit but what would you expect after cooking on high heats.
