I like to work in my garage/machine shop. I wish I could have had a little hoist like this long before now. I put a small U-bolt in a piece of angle aluminum with a rafter hook at the other end & I can easily hang the hoist wherever I need to lift something. I just finished replacing the batteries in my large mobility scooter. It's a Motorcycle Wannabe with a very heavy seat, a luggage box in back, A lower body section & 2 large batteries (the size of car batteries). Without this little hoist, it would take 2 healthy people to handle the seat & pretty strong back & arms to lift the batteries. Well, it took me 3 days, but I "got er done" The hoist functions exactly as the directions outline. It's light enough to lift with one hand & hang on the U-bolt. It easily fits into the included soft pouch (including the chain & hooks). The pouch has a flap with a strong Velcro closure. I did remove the spring loaded safety gates on the hooks though. They served no purpose for me & I couldn't lift the hoist & squeeze the gate with one hand. I get a lot of "stuff" from Amazon. Some of it good, some of it great, some not so good.
