There is good variety of colour from the usual gold, silver and bronze through to a couple of greens, a blue, pink and purple as well as varying shades of gold. The pencils are very easy to hold, being triangular in shape and with nice large barrels, they are ideal for both children and adults with dexterity problems. I will say straight away, 10 out of 12 of these pencil crayons, are very nice to colour with, they're creamy, they blend and layer well. The other two, are a bit crumbly and not as nice when layering.The colours have a shimmer to them in certain lights, not as much when you look directly at them. They are all beautiful shades though.These are slightly more than I thought they would be but I do like them. The shades are better than some metallics I've used before. I would recommend them.
